Auditions

Audition appointments for TYKEs' 2007-2008 season are available now! To schedule your audition timeslot, please call our audition line at 585/387-9542 .

Adults are invited to audition by appointment only on Monday, August 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Children (ages 6 and up) who are interested in performing as ducklings and froglets in Honk! are invited to audition by appointment only on Tuesday, August 28 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Auditions are held at the Auditorium Center, located on the corner of Main Street and Prince Street, in the 3rd floor "UpStage3" Theatre. {Please note that TYKEs' regular performances and rehearsals take place at the School of the Arts, 45 Prince Street in downtown Rochester, but auditions take place at UpStage3.

Please bring sheet music for an up-tempo song - accompanist provided. Scripts will be supplied for cold readings. Adult roles are paid; Honk! roles for children are unpaid.

If you are unable to attend auditions, please feel free to forward your headshot and resume to TYKEs at any time (57 Everwild Lane, Rochester, NY 14616). We will keep the information in our active actor file.

Acting roles are currently available for Grease (a fabulous rated "G" version) and Honk! (the Ugly Duckling story). Plus, TYKEs is delighted to perform Rapunzel (a hilarious show written by the creators of the TV show "Friends") on the Geva Theatre stage as part of their prestigious TheatreFest celebration! We'll also continue to tour our hugely popular production of The Sharing Stone , an original show created by TYKEs based on the fable of Stone Soup.

There's one more opportunity too! Roles for up to 64 local children are also available for TYKEs' upcoming production of Jack and the Beanstalk , presented by Missoula Children's Theatre in May of 2008. Children interested in that show are not required to audition in August.
